I need help in choosing ssd.

I have a laptop which has a 1tb hdd with m.2 slot on it. I want to add a storage and planning to add an ssd to m.2 slot but the manufacturer says that it supports up to 512gb ssd for PCIE. I wonder if i can upgrade to a 1tb ssd or higher since there are available in the market?

Another question is that is there any setup i should do after installing an ssd like samsung 950 which can read and write about 1000mb/s or is it their default settings already? Should i set it to like raid 0 or something?

Solution
So it does take a NVMe M.2 and a M.2 SATA SSD. Not sure on the max size though. I don't see why it couldn't take a 1tb. more than likely they said that as in they ship it with a 512 max not that it can't take a max of 512

Thanks mate! I thought it only supports up to 512gb maximum storage. It seems they ship some model that comes with 512gb ssd.
