Need help. The monitor in my PC says that there is no signal coming from my new PC.

I have recently bought a new PC and have put it together. When I connect the DVI cable from the monitor to the graphics card, the monitor says there is no signal coming from the computer. But I don't think the problem is the graphic card because the USB ports don't work. I have taken the motherboard out and put it back again once. Still the same results. Any idea on how to solve this? The USB ports don't work because when i connect the mouse or keyboard they don't function. The computer turns on fine and the lighs in the motherboard turns on.

But how can you tell they don't function if the screen doesn't work? You mean the optical light doesn't illuminate and the caps lock keys don't light up. I guess that is fair, but i wouldn't say the USB ports don't work.

I am not convinced your PC is POSTing. Do the fans spin when you turn it on?

In the upper right hand corner of your board are 3 LEDs, are any of them lit at any time?
The LEDs indicate:
VGA - indicates GPU is not detected or fail.
DRAM - indicates DRAM is not detected or fail.
CPU - indicates CPU is not detected or fail.

Your ram is in slots 2 and 4, correct? If they are in slots right next to each other it won't boot.
It has to be in the 2nd and 4th slots. If they are in the correct slots...

Remove all RAM sticks. Place one RAM stick into slot 2, and try to boot. If it works, place the second stick into slot 4.

If the PC won't boot with a single stick in slot 2, with either stick, i blame the RAM.

That's the one. Dang so it's hooked up correctly... It's hard to seat a GPU wrong but maybe? I'd remove it and reseat it. Do you have e other GPU to test? Or a rig to test the GPU with?
