will a motherboard be fine if I install a bad cpu

I'm going to rma my motherboard I think its the motherboard and not the CPU my question is is the cpu fine pins are not bent and when in the motherboard run it a couple of sec it would be heated under the board so you think my cpu is fine?

You ran the computer without a cooler on the CPU? Why? It is entirely possible the CPU fried in those few seconds, but its more likely to be fine. Why do you want to RMA your motherboard? Of course the thing got hot, it is to be expected.

well greens my computer did not post or anything and it had a cooler on I'm not insane my powersupply the guy said was fine and its not my gpu so it has to be my MB the guy said it was as well computer shop guy I was just wondering if my cpu was fine is all
