So I have a dell Monitor that cost about 300 dollars 3 years ago. On Monday I wanted to get some work done and my monitor just says power save
Mode on and doesn't respond?.the PC has all of its lights on including the keyboard etc. It's connected by hdmi and I tried to unplug everything and plug but usually that doesn't do anything. A couple of times It had went to the start up menu and got my hopes up but the monitor turns off 2 Mins later. Some videos said to unplug the cpu and gpu but I am afraid to damage something and get myself into a deeper hole.

Plz help thanks

99% it's not a monitor issue, but an issue with the computer. Test the computer with another monitor to verify. Maybe a power supply issue, or motherboard is dead, you may just need to reset the BIOS to defaults on the system, or re-seat RAM, PSU connections.
When you unplugged it and plugged it back in, did you make sure you put it in the same spot? If it is plugged into the motherboard, but you have a graphics card, no image will be displayed.

Can you take a second and make sure that the monitor is plugged into the graphics card?
