Here is the list of the parts on my new build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/33RZzM

I'm using a USB flash drive to install Windows 8.1 Pro. But when I choose custom installation, it doesn't detect my hard drive! It asks me to load a driver instead.
Here's what it exactly says:

" To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files, and then click OK.

Note: The installation media can be a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive. "

I already tried changing it from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0, but the same problem. Then I went to the following sites to download the drivers:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22194

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/A68HM-GRENADE.html#down-driver&Win8.1 64

Same problem.

This is a new build. I don't know what could be the problem. Please help, maybe I'm not downloading the right drivers or the hard drive doesn't work. I made sure to connect it all the way to the motherboard.

Solution
Plug the hdd into another sata port. It maybe in the wrong one. Make sure the BIOS detects it first.

If that doesnt work remove the hdd and connect it to another desktop. If the BIOS doesnt detetct it, then it's probably dead

You did connect the sata cable and power to the hdd right?

I used GTP this time and it still wont detect my hard drive.
Yeah I downloaded "On-Board PIDE/SATA Drivers" and ran it to see if it would detect my hard drive, still no.
