Graphics card overclocking can damage graphic card?

Solution
Its just like overclocking your cpu. Sure overclocking will kill your gpu faster and if you push to far your risking major damage. Keep the temps within norms tho and it should be ok.

Yes, it voids the warranty and can easily destroy permanently your graphic card. If you don't know much about it, don't do it.

If you do want to try it, go by 25-50 MHz increments, then do a burn-in test for stability. Never touch the voltage, unless you don't mind potentially destroying the card.

Even with a stable overclock, you will reduce the lifespan of the card. Eventually it will start to produce artifacts (green lines and weird errors), and die.

Overclocking is a bit like racing cars. It's fun but don't be surprised when the engine blows up.

for the most part as long as you arent messing with the voltage, overclocking your card doesnt do damage to the card. If you mess with the voltage you will be shortening you life of your card. So as long as you dont touch voltage and you keep temps in check overclocking is great way to get abit more performance out of you hardware.
