Hello folks, first time posting here. My name is Justin from Newfoundland, just want to know a few things about upgrading my XPS 8500 System. Currently I'm looking at upgrading my case to a Cooler Master N200 and my PSU.

My system is almost 4 years old now (January, 2013) and have not upgraded anything, only for the OS which was Win 8.1 but now have 7 SP1.

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770, @ 3.40 GHz
Ram: 12.0 GB
Nvidia GeForce GT 620
Bluetooth and Wireless Network Connectivity
DVD Rom/Writer, Media Card Readers

I have been looking around for a bit of time now and just wondering what is the best option for an upgrade to my PSU, I'm not intending to upgrade my video/graphic card or anything soon but like to have the option there so I can if possible. I have been looking at a couple of units online but unsure if they will work or sufficient:

I know I have posted this with no responses for a while now, but I did get a PSU and the n200 case and have since transferred the 8500 over to the Cooler Master Case and installed the new PSU which is a Corsair CX600 and now have my system back up and running very smoothly and quietly.

It did take me a bit of time to do the swap but managed with help from other sources on the net, thought I post my solution here since I did start this thread. However with that stated I did have one issue to deal with regarding the wiring of the front panel and the mother board, but came across the same thing on Dell's forums and then I actually traced back the connections for the front panel on the old case so I found the correct configuration. On the motherboard there is a 12 pin port (minus 1 pin) and here's the configuration visual:

It does say the 8300 model, but it is the same for my 8500 as well.

I am now very pleased with my swap over and upgrade. I hope this helps anyone else looking to the same or similar.
