So I was putting a system together for the holiday season and was wondering if these parts would be compatible.

I mainly came here since I've heard conflicting stories about these parts.

Asus b15 pro lga1151

I was going for a i7 6700k but I heard that this motherboard couldn't overclock the CPU. But on newegg there were some reviews that said they got some nasty overclocks on the 6700k.
Kinda gotta know so I know if I should go for the K version and overclock or the regular and just leave it at the stock 3.4gz.

Just some random ram that I'll buy that's compatible

Not sure where you have heard that, but the 6700k can be OCed on all the z170 boards. How much stability can each board give is another question altogether. Personally i like this one as i have seen quite a few builds doing pretty decent OCing on this board, and this also features in the top mobo lists around the same price range as the ASUS.

This motherboard says it is a full ATX, but looking at the rear IO and the motherboard its self, it looks like a micro atx.
