Thinking about getting a gtx 970 but I have heard some worrying things from the reviews section here

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487076

Complaints about the card breaking down quickly, temps of 100c, other stuff... is there truth to this? And if so does it apply to the one type of 970 or all? If so can anyone rec me a reliable 970? Budget of £250 or so

well the card has just sold out, still if anyone could give me some advice on these cards, don't want any nasty surprises

Meanwhile a GTX 970 is a really good card @ 2016, i highly recommend new series from nvidia or AMD (GTX 1060 3/6 GB or RX 480 4/8GB respectly).

Now, about your concern, EVGA for me, is the best manufacter of nvidia cards, but you can use a RMA service if you're not happy.
