My brother recently upgraded his CPU and Mobo and now I have his old PC parts. Here's the list:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard AMD FX-8350 Eight Core Processor (4.00 GHz) Along with 8GB of RAM

I'm keeping my GFX card, HDD Drive, 550W PSU and Optical Drive from my old rig.

Recently, I've noticed that my computer's been much louder than what it ran on my brother's old rig. I've done some research and people have suggested installing a fresh version of my OS, but I'd prefer not to. Unfortunately, I don't have the installation disc that came with the mobo and I don't know if my mobo version is Rev 1.0 or 2.x.

I was wondering how I could get my HDD Drive to uninstall the hardware drives for my old mobo/cpu and install the new drivers for my new mobo? What are the necessary steps that I need to take in order to transition into my new rig w/ new hardware? What could be an explanation for my new rig being louder than normal and is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks.
