no dual or multiple monitor for GT 710 geforce card

Hello,
i got ASUS with win7 and geforce GT 710 graphic card that is connected to video split.
on a duplicate mode, there's no problem, i see desktop on both the PC screen and TV.
on dual monitor mode there's nothing on the TV screen.

any ide what i can do?

Open your Nvidia control panel and under the Display category, select "Set up Multiple Displays". Next, check the box next to the inactive display you wish to set as the second display, then click apply. If a black screen or nothing shows up, click "My display is not shown" to force detection. Finally, you can drag the green boxes around to match the display orientation of your liking, and choose your primary by right clicking on it and selecting "Make Primary".

evantually we shut the video splitter down and when we turned it on, everything worked fine.
