I've had a GTX 970 in an old extremely bottlenecking build for about a year now, and I'm looking to move it into a completely new computer. I've picked out parts for it, and I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice with them. Here is the parts list! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yPvwyf
Thanks for any help!

True for the cpu he doesn't need it,but because of the "Z" board would he be blt to use higher speed ram as chosen. It's possible that 3000mhz is abit high for a cpu that cannot be overclocked. MIght better look at about 2666mhz ram.Like these options,

for an ssd would i pick this one,

just abit more expensive.

Well, looks good, but you dont really need a Z170 motherboard with that config.
Not sure if that motherboard even lets u overclock the nonK CPU.
This one will: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jrDzK8/asrock-motherboard-b150gamingk4hyper
