I have an old dell xps 8300 motherboard and it seems that One of the dimm slots are broken.
It killed a 2gb stick then I tried the slot with a 4gb Ram stick and all worked perfectly until I got a blue screen (Tried many time to get it work after booting). I put the 4gb stick away and Started testing with another 2gb stick. The pc wouldn't turn on. Then tried the 2gb stick in another pc and it was dead. Now I'm thinking Is the slot bad or what is happening as the Bad slot shouldn't break the dimms?
Also This Started when I had not touched anything.
Pc:
Motherboardell xps 8300
Cpu: i3-2120
Gpu: Gt 710
Psu: Corsair vs 550
Harddrive: 2x Wd blue 320gb
