Why buy a 4k monitor to play at 2k?
Monitors always look best at native resolution.

I would simply buy 2k monitor, perhaps one of the wide ones for more immersive gaming.
That particular monitor uses a tn panel which will not have the image quality or viewing angle if a IPS panel.
If you are a fast action gamer, then tn is all you can do.
If you are more of a mmo/strategy/sim gamer or even multiplayer, you might appreciate ips more.

Then, I might question the advisability of crossfire when there are good single gpu solutions available.
dual gpu makes you more prone to stuttering and screen tearing.
Some games do not support sli at all.
I might suggest selling the RX-480 in favor of a GTX1070 or GTX1080.

the cost of getting a new 1070 by selling my 480 wouldnt be in my price range. I would prob only get $170 for the used rx 480 and and i have $200 set aside for gpu upgrade. that would leave me with roughly $370 to get a gts 1070. plus theres the added cost of getting a g sync monitor which are $100-$200+ more expensive than free sync. I just feel in my situation, it's best to get anothber 480 and crossfire. I have basically $200 for a gpu and $350 for a 2k monitor with free sync
