Hello there, my parents gave me finally a chance to build my first build for Christmas, but it would be good to order the parts now or soon enough, therefore I would like to ask for some help. I already managed to create a build guide (using help of youtubers and others who already have experienced building a PC themselves), but I need to fit it into £700 max £725 which is a bit of a problem as the prices just rised recently. Should I wait until they drop or will they drop just after Christmas or New Year? I would like to use this build as my enter level gaming build, however I'm still a student so it will be nice as a workstation as well. I usually play games like CSGO, Rust, maybe some Rocket League but do you think it would run fine with the i3-6100 and GTX 1050ti? Do you think going for the Z-type of motherboard would be a good investment if I was about to upgrade in the future to unlocked CPU? The price between the Z-type of motherboard and H170 is only £10 which would be a better investment for the future however will I use it or will it least long, so when I will be about to upgrade to an unlocked CPU will it not be out of date, because the technology is continuously improving and developing? But also what do you think about the RAM? I think it's the best for the price.. and also it's speed is quiet solid I would say.. 2800MHz but will it work on my type of motherboard?? I think it should support up to 2800Mhz ram sticks.. Hmm..

The motherboard doesn't really matter that much as long as you are not wanting to overclock if the difference between z is only 10 then definitely get it. For ram I use 2133mhz DDR4 8gb. 8gb ram is the sweet spot for a budget build but if you are going for 2800mhz ram the i3 6100 can't handle it and will cap it at 2133mhz to no point. I also use the GTX 1050 ti and that is perfect for games and I am also upgrading my CPU to the i3 6100. Get a 400 - 450w power supply, no need for any better one unless you are going to upgrade.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions fell free to ask.

Well a lot of people said that they wouldn't build a PC without SSD but come on.. Do you think I really want to spend twice as much for four times less space.. I will stay at the HDD and anyway it is easy to add SSD in the future if needed, but I don't think it will change much about how games run etc. Basically I would rather spend the money on a better CPU or GPU. The only thing I'm not too sure about is my monitor.. and also I'm thinking about first installing linux and if it won't perform well I would buy Windows.. I haven't used linux a lot but shouldn't be hard to get familiar with it, however I'm not sure if all games would run on linux.. Well CSGO should XD... And also the prices went up just 2 days ago and now I'm confused if I should wait or will it be too late until they come back down.. This PC build should be around £700 but is now around £770 because of the RAM and GPU.. They went up a bit..
