Corsair H100i v2 Fan Speed Noise

So my 1 month old corsair fans keep going up and down. And when it goes up it gets really loud. How do I make just a constant speed? I have a Asus Sabertooth z170 s motherboard btw.

I cant speak for the h100i, but the h110i is not controllable via BIOS or anywhere except Corsair Link because even though you plug it into the fan header, it only has a sense wire (third wire from left in the four pin cable) so the board knows there's a cooler attached, and you actually control the fans via USB. Try setting a custom fan curve in Corsair Link. I had to to reduce noise too, although ended up buying quieter fans as the stock ones sounded like a jet engine.

Puttibng the proifle to Quiet and setting a sensible fan curve is the best thing you can do. Also beware the fans respond to the pump temp not the cpu/system, so the curve will have to be v narrow, between 30-35c.

It should be possible within BIOS to set a predefined fan curve. Likewise you can also set the speeds of the fans to a particular rpm. I must ask though, have you monitored the temps with a utility or even with Corsair Link to see if the temps(and subsequent fan ramp ups) are warranted? We will need more info, please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS.
