Internet Speed Fluctuating

When I am playing my PS4 my internet is perfectly fine with no problems. Yet when I go on my PC it takes forever to load pages and I cannot even download a game off Steam. When I try and download it game the download fluctuates from 5mbps to kbps... Yet I run a speed test for my internet and the download speed is at 26kbps. I have a couple years old PC custom built which is quite fast. Why is my internet being so weird? I have a USB wifi adapter.

Wired is the best route to go. Wireless will get you a werid amount of speed.

Go to speed test on your PC when your on wireless and tell us what your ping, download and upload speed is.
Than go to your PC when your on wired and tells us what you see.

I'm too far away from the router, but 26mbps with 30 ping is pretty good I thought. Everything is fast on my phone too, its just my pc everything takes ages to load etc...

I know in my configuration if I am running wireless, in theory my mini-itx build has a internal wifi card is connected to my 5GHz network instead of my 2.4GHz.

You could try getting into your router and creating a 5GHz network if supported and than connect the PC on to there. Sometimes other traffic can clog it.

If that doesn't work, It can be the littlest thing from a virus cleaning to a faulty usb wifi adapter dongle.
