Current GPU: Asus R7 240
Case: Rosewill FBM-01

The RX 460 Nitro Sapphire and the Gigabyte Radeon are great alternatives for the "balling on a budget" GPU such as the 460. i personally have just ordered my Gigabyte radeon OC 4GB card for my build.. :)

I bought the Asus Rog Strix Rx 460 4gb and I didnt have the best experience with that, would the gigabyte version be any difference? Im returning the Strix today to look for a better alternative.

If a RX-460 did not work for you, then it is likely that any other brand would have the same result.
I suppose you could try a GTX1050 which would still be a nice upgrade over a R7-240

Your cpu is very weak, so your problem may well be a cpu limitation for which you have no good upgrade solution.

I had driver problems where it didnt allow me to download anything without it crashing or giving the thread stuck in device error. I was considering the 1050, or just simply get the 750ti. How do I find if my Cpu is weak?

Well, the CPU is bottlenecking your GPU but the RX 460 should still perform much better than the R7 240. The driver problem might have been a defective GPU, if your older R7 240 works fine then it's definitely the GPU.

It depends on the types of games you play.
Some are cpu limited and single threaded. Typical of sims, mmo, and strategy games.
Some are graphics limited like fast action shooters.

Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

Yeah, I was thinking that I might have gotten a defective GPU since my 240 works perfectely. As for my cpu in some games like league of legends my fps drops as I raise resolution and graphics same for my Overwatch as well. I might try the Gigabyte 460 as see how that goes, what would you guys suggest?

First of all RMA(return) the defective Asus RX 460, they might not give you back money but send you another one, if the new one will work then you are fine. There is almost no difference between the Asus and Gigabyte one.
