I recently built my first pc, specs are:

Case: Corsair 750D
Fan Controller: NZXT SEN-001XL
Optical Drive: DVD/CD-RW
Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M5
CPU: I7 6700k 4.0 ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2
CPU Cooler Radiator Fans: 4 Corsair AF120 - Red Led Push/Pull Exhaust
Ram: 4 x 8 mb Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000mhz
Ram Cooler: Corsair Dominator Airflow Platinum LED Fan
GPU: Dual Power Color R9 390x in Crossfire Liquid Cooled on closed loop. 1100 mhz core, 1525 mhz memory
GPU Cooler Radiator Fans: 4 Corsair AF120 - Red Led Push/Pull Intake
Hard Drives: Toshiba 2TB 7200 rpm HD/ Hitachi 2TB 7200 rpm HD
SSD: Crucial M.2 525 GB/ Crucial 128 GB/ Kingston 120 GB
PSU: Corsair AX850 80+ Gold Certified
13 Total Case fans w/ Red LEDs
Front: 2 Corsair AF140 Intake/ 4 AF120 Push/Pull Intake
Top: 1 Corsair AF120 Intake/ 4 AF120 Push/Pull Exhaust
Rear: 1 Corsair AF140 Exhaust
Bottom: 1 Corsair AF120 Intake

I have an I7 6700K 4.0 ghz, Factory OC Powercolor R9 390x at 1100mhz Core and 1525 mhz memory, and a Corsair Ax850 I bought used on ebay. Everything will work with no problems for a day or 2 as long as I'm not on my system long, then problems will occur. Such as games crashing, artifacts on screen, an annoying buzzing/electrical sound coming from either my gpu or psu, system freezes when under load, and I also noticed on my graphics card the backlit word "Hybrid" will flicker when under load. I've done alot of research and have yet to find any site which specifically talks about the power draw of the factory overclocked Powercolor R9 390x in crossfire. I'm a novice to custom pc building. How would I measure the wattage of my total system. My psu is the Corsair AX850 80+ gold. I wanted to know if my psu is the problem? When I take 1 of my graphics cards out an play games, benchmark, an stress test it works just fine. I will still hear a low buzzing sound and see a slight flicker of the backlight on the word "Hybrid" on my gpu only when gaming and benchmarking. If it is my psu can I get a recommendation on a psu that can handle my system load?

Solution
For 1,2KW PSU, i suggest Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB 1250W.

While FSP is 80+ Platinum certified, the Thermaltake is 80+ Titanium certified. 80+ Titanium offers the best efficiency there is. Also, with Thermaltake, you'll get extra 3 years of warranty (7 years for FSP, 10 years for Thermaltake) and a nice RGB fan for eyecandy.

Use OuterVision to calculate your system's power consumption,
link: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

It's the best power supply calculator there is (but keep in mind that it isn't 100% accurate).
For example, here's results of my Skylake (specs in my sig) with CPU and GPU OC,

Buzzing noise is coil whine. Can't fix it. Some PSUs have it while others don't. You can Google more info about coil whine (e.g what it is and why it happens).

But as far as i can tell, your PSU isn't powerful enough for your system. Fill out the OuterVision calculator and post results to us, so we can suggest you a good PSU. Ideally, load on PSU should be kept between 50% to 80% of it's total wattage. By looking your components alone, i can tell that you're looking at least 1KW PSU (1000W).

So I did the calculator and indeed my psu is not enough for my setup, here are my results: http://outervision.com/b/mKx0ez

Over the last several days I've tested different setups, drivers, and options. With crossfire I will continue to get freeze ups now as soon as I click on a game or benchmark. I also took 1 card out and my system runs smooth with no freezes. The only thing I've noticed is when my card is under load in game my gpu load will go from 99-100% then drop down between 0-9% every few seconds. When my gpu load drops so will the frames I get in game. I turned v-sync on in game and it keeps my frames steady around 60 fps even with the gpu load drops. My guess would be that under load my psu is not delivering a consistent load to my gpu but idk. My graphics cards are rated at 305-315 watts apiece so they pull alot of power. A good psu suggestion would be highly appreciated.

You're guessing right.

For a new PSU, i suggest FSP Aurum PT 1000W.

I appreciate all you help thus far. I will be ordering a new more powerful power supply this weekend, hopefully it will be here before Christmas. I will post back with results when I have it connected and do some testing. If i were to go witg say a 1200 watt psu what would you suggest? I may feel better with the added power output.
