Hello. I just started playing this game and trying my gtx 1080 SLI. It is very graphics demanding game and when i tried some different settings I realized that I get lower fps when I am SLI-ing than when just using one of the cards. This can`t be right? In the description of the game it even says it has full SLI support.
Also in the Witcher 3 I get no benefit from SLI.
What am I not getting here?

Sli support is going away and the games that do support it it's either broken, gives you less performance overall or just works. This is multi gpu configs are no longer recommended as they are essentially just giving you way more problems than benefits.

Most games have very little frame rate benefit from doing SLI. I cannot say for myself but when I google "1080 SLI benchmarks" I see that the single 1080 and the SLI 1080s are almost identical in performance. As jaslion said, most games do not naively support SLI so performance change is little due to the games not using the second card as it is intended.

TW3 should hugely benefit from sli. Make sure in your nvidia control panel that sli is enabled. Watch dogs 2 isnt necessarily graphics heavy, it looks decent but nothing mind blowing. Its just terribly optimized like most ubi games.

Ignore the ignorant posts about sli being useless, that is just nonsense and any quick google search will show benchmarks with plenty of triple A games benefiting immensely from sli. Its always people that funny enough do not have newer rigs with modern sli gpu's and have had bad expereinces years ago with older tech. BF1, Tomb raider, tw3,Crysis 2/3, GTAV etc are some of the biggest games released and all have fantastic sli support that bring them into unthinkable fps at higher resolutions that no single card can match.

Anyway dude im surprised to see such useless posts on this thread because this site is usually incredibly helpful and has a fantastic knowledgeable community. My best advice is to double check settings in nvidia control panel and go from there.

Here's benchmarks for tw3 etc and what you should be getting https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_1080_SLI/
