Hi, I'm having trouble deciding which phone to get. I've done some research and it seems that the G5 is faster but the S6 has a better display. I'd like to hear opinions of others. Btw the G5 and S6 are around the same price here.

I had the same choice and went G5. I dislike samsung as a company, but their galaxy line of phones has always been solid - I had an S4 before this. That being said, the G5 has better all around hardware. The S6 has the AMOLED screen, tho which is better seems to be a personal choice, I love the G5's screen.. unless i'm looking REALLY hard for for a reason to dislike IPS on the black lock/always-on screen when I'm in a pitch black room. Unlike the S6, the S7 and G5 have always on displays, but you can turn that off if you want. The app drawer is back as well. The G5 also has expandable memory up to 2gb whenever that comes out if u still have the phone when a 2tb card costs less than a phone lol. I also love the ammo clip like...

I'd go for the S6 because LG has had bootlooping problems with the G4 and the Nexus 5x. The G5 appears to be a great phone on paper but due to the boot looping issues of the past, I'd steer clear.

If you go for the S6 just remember there is no SD card slot so buy a 32 gig model if you can for future proofing.

Just make sure that you are buying the G5 with a warranty because the early production apparently had quality control issues. LG knows this and unlike Samsung, they actually feel bad when they screw up and try to compensate by going the extra mile.

+1 for the G5, I've always been a fan of LG products, never had any issues with my G3 that I had for 2 years, and the only issues I've ever had with my G5 were right after release, and were patched quickly. My brother has an S6 Edge, and I prefer the performance of mine over his phone. The G5 has a fantastic camera, the wide angle lens that comes with it comes in handy all the time. I also love the look and feel of the G5. Like StupidComputers said, the battery swap is also amazing,
