[SOLVED] Can't open files on my WD drive

I just back up all my MacBook air to my WD hard drive but im trying to open my pictures on WD hard drive its telling me
You can't open the application "Photos" because it is in a Time Machine backup!

Please tell me how to unlock my files on my WD drive,

I'm sorry to hear about your access issues with the WD external HDD. Have you tried checking if you could restore that specific folder from the Time machine backup onto the MacBook again? You could try to invoke Time machine from the menu bar and then restore the folders and albums from 'Photos' that you wish to retrieve. I found a similar thread with the same issue, I assume. Take a look here, hope it helps you! :)
Have you tried to access the files on the WD external drive from another Mac OS X computer as well? Maybe you should give it a try. Checking the HDD for defects through the Disk utility is also advisable.
