Hi, i will be upgrading soon from and old gt 610 to a GTX 1050ti and i wanted to know if the 450w Generic PSU that i have will handle it well considering that i have:

corei3 4150
8GB ram DDR3 1333mhz
Asus h81m-c/csm mobo
Seagate 1tb hdd
PS: I don´t know the brand of my PSU, and i can´t open the case since i don´t have a screwdriver (My brother built it for me)

Solution
a generic psu, how generic is?

a bad generic or a good generic will make all the difference

when playing, if the psu is not that good you will hear, smell and feel the heat comming from that psu if it is not up to the task

there are some models of the gtx 1050ti that requires a 6 pin psu, most generic psus will not have that connector so make sure you buy the 1050ti that doesn't require that connector

for example, this one requires the 6 pin connector so perhaps avoid it

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti-GAMING-4G.html#hero-specification

or buy a 450w or 500w psu with the 1050ti to be 100% sure it will work
