System design with space limitations

Hello. I'm trying to build a system with an i7-6700k, gtx1070, and 32gb ram, preferably 3000mhz, and a noctua nh-d15 cooler. I'm having trouble finding a case that will fit my space requirements, as well as fit the noctua cooler as I know it is very large. I'm limited to 12" wide, and 17" deep for the case, but still needs to clear the RAM and GPU in the case. Height is not an issue for the case dimensions. Any idea which case and motherboard I can use to fit the cooler, RAM, and GPU all together as well as my space limitations? I technically have 20" of depth but I'd like to keep an extra 3" behind the case for cables and exhaust, hence the reason I said 17" or less of depth. I am pretty sure there is no micro ATX case and Mobo that will fit the nh-d15 cooler...

  • ■ Ram height, any < 32 mm low profile heat spreader will fit ex. crucial ballistix LT & sport or corsair vengeance LPX.
    ■ The easiest way to find out is by contact your motherboard CS for graphic card clearance, and casing CS for NH D15 compability. So find your "love at first sight" case and email the case customer service
    ■ What motherboard and case you have in mind?

Thanks for the reply! I'm not looking for anything flashy, originally I wanted to do the Corsair 200r and one of the Asus Z170 series mobos, probably the z170 pro gaming, but im not 100% decided on that just yet.

If you insist on giant cpu cooler.

  • ■ Go for motherboard that leave one space of PCIe closest to CPU socket such as ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming.
    ■ Any DDR4 2400 or faster comes with heatspreader, I could only find 3000 with low profile heatspreader (vengeance LPX not the LED model) that fit DH15.
    ■ Carbide 200R fit DH15 height (165 mm).

Thanks guys. I did some research and called corsair today. I decided on the Corsair Air 540 case, and changed the cooler to the nh-d15s instead. I cns always add a second fan to it down the line if I need, but the reviews I read showed cooling to be within 2 degrees of each other (single fan vs dual fan). Still looking at memory choices but probably won't go 3000 anymore.
