hey guys I got an old X58 system with i7 930 cpu. lately the pc is getting funny, first it start with no able to boot up... when I press the power button, the PSU red light will flash while the graphic card fan spin at maximum speed for 2-3 quick burst of max speed. (like people reving their motorbike)
first I thought is ram problem removed the ram and it work again but the next day now it completely stop booting.
when PC turn on all fan will work, all HDD turns on and use has power. however there is no beep and no display (I mean monitor will not get out of standby, not a black screen). there 'reset' button on the case still work, when I press it, all fans in the case will blog down in speed for a second and then spin up again like a normal reset. but no display or beep. I tried the following and nothing changes..

-removed everything
-install just CPU (cpu has activity as I installed without heat sink and kept my finger on it, it warms up right away when power button is pressed)
- CPU + ram
-CPU + ram + graphic card
-all of above + disk drives.

no matter what I test it does the same thing, what do u reckon? THE TIME HAS COME??? u reckon motherboard failed?

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, please include your full system's specs inclusive of your OS.
2| Have you made sure your BIOS and remaining drivers are ll up to date?
3| Have you tried disconnecting all your storage and seen if you get a signal on your display?
4| You may need to breadboard the system and see if there is more than one component being the culprit. In retrospect I can't suggest buying a new system but it'd help if you planned ahead in case the board was the fault. Finding an X58 board in this day and age will either be impossible or cost you more than a brand new platformed board.
