Win7 to WinXP got problem

please help me guys

i cant even load the OS anymore

my sister-in-law has a old laptop and wants to change the OS to XP
so i make a bootable usb windows XP using Novicorp WintoFlash lite

after the installation of OS i got this error:
"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path
and disk hardware.
Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manuals for
additional information."

please help, laptop is stuck in this message and when i try to click any keys it reboots then back to this error message again.
 
Solution
Try using a CD instead of a flash drive. Windows XP is so old, it probably doesn't like USB drives. You could also try Rufus instead: https://rufus.akeo.ie/ It's much better than Win to Flash.

Just be careful, as MS doesn't support XP as of April 8, 2014.
