Changed Cases - CPU Temps Doubled

I added a second GTX 980ti Hybrid card, and I bought a Corsair 750D Airflow Edition case so I'd have the space for the radiators. I've been running my system for 4 years now, with CPU temps ranging from 30C - 40C, overclocked to 4GHZ on my 3930k. I've never had any issues with temps or my H100i. I spent all night transferring everything to the new case, meticuliously setting everything up, clean wiring, 4 new Noctua fans in push \ pull for the H100i rad, cleaned the water block and CPU, and set it back up fresh. I run the fans off the board, all 4 pin connections, and first thing I noticed when I did my first boot is that the fans were going crazy, totally maxed out, and when I got into windows and checked my temps, I was fluctuating between 68C and 85C.

Ok, so I figured maybe I need to reseat the water block. No dice. Tried rotating the water block, reverting back to stock clock settings, and strangly, I backed off the fans because they were driving me nuts, and the temps don't seem to be affected at all by the fan speed. The pump is running, and the sides of the radiator are pretty hot. I'm running out of ideas, this never happened before, I should be running super cool with 4 fans hooked up to the H100i, instead the temps doubled.
Ambient temps in the room are around 20C or less.

Any ideas?

Solution

It's not just that, he also cut the pressure in half, and with a high fin density radiator, he's gonna be suffering. Most Noctua fans sit under half of what the Corsair fans are rated for in pressure. So he has effectively KILLED the airflow.

Which Noctua fans did you get? The stock H100i fans put out 77CFM of air and the air pressure is 4mm/H2O, so if your new Noctua fans aren't putting out enough pressure with enough CFM worth of air flow, then you are going to have temperture spikes...

For instance, the NFA14 PWM puts out 82.5CFM, but with only 2.08mm/H2O pressure.
The NF-F12 PWM is worse off, at 54.9CFM and 2.61mm/H2O

More airflow, but half the pressure which may be needed for the radiator, so air isn't actually going through it.

From what I can find, the only Noctua that have pressure ratings near what the stock fans are rated for, are the "Industrial" fans from noctua, which are much louder than what you are probably wanting I assume.

The fans are the NF-F12 industrial, and you're right they are very very loud.

I don't know how I keep accidentally clicking the solution button, but it always happens lol. I have not yet solved the problem,
I'm going to install the stock Corsair fans and give that a try today. I will return with the results.

Ok, so I ditched the Noctura fans, and I'm down to 45C-50C. Not quite where I was, but it's a huge improvement.
Sound like this is resolved? Or should I still be getting lower temps at 4Ghz? Would it help using two more Corsair high static fans to pull? And thank you for your time in replying to my issue.

Honestly, I am unsure of where it should be with that CPU and particular cooler, but, that is certainly a lot better than what you described earlier... When was the last time you dusted out the radiator? Do you have issues with temperatures while in a CPU intensive program?

Oh, I totally rebuilt the machine into a new Corsair 750D case just a few days ago, as I mentioned in the OP, I added a second GTX 980ti Hybrid, and those four new Noctua F12 industrial fans in push\pull which was where my problem started. In the process I cleaned every speck of dust, but my rads are blown out regularly anyway. So, some changes in fan positioning, mainly the two front 140mm fans facing inward as intake, and I am now down to 35C-40C, snug as a bug. Newer H115i rad is on the way, along with two more high static Corsair fans, and hopefully I will be even closer to ambient. Right now it's between 98F and 104F. My ambient is around 74F, so maybe there is room for even cooler temps. How's this for temps? LoL.

Research here and some other sites show 72C is the redline for the 3930K, so hitting 65C stressed should probably be the max. Thank you to c0rr0sive and everybody for the help, those fans were definitely hurting things. Let it be a warning, those Noctua fans may be good case fans, but do not use them for liquid cooling, or any other fans unless they are high static pressure fans.
