Hi,

My adapter is the Asus PCE-AC68 and the router is the airport extreme 2013 5GHz WiFi-ac + router, 3x 1Gbps switch.
- Motherboard: Z97 sniper gigabyte
- Power supply: Cooler master 550 watts
- Wifi adapter: Asus PCE-AC68 dual band AC.
- OS: Windows 10 - 64 bit, latest version, driver version of adapter is: ASUS PCE-AC68 utility 2.0.8.8

At the moment there 12 devices connected to the router, it can handle up to 50. There no errors by windows, it just can't find the 5ghz network. Our ISP is zeelandnet, connection type is wireless.

I dont know what happend but one day my computer was unable to find the 5ghz network, while all other devices in the house still are. I tried adapter settings and read more posts on this forum, but really nothing seem to work. I also reinstalled the driver, and rebooted the pc several times, yet it can only find the 2.4ghz networks.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Solution
The problem is fixed, I got an email from asus, the problem seems to be the channel settings of the 5ghz frequence that the airport extreme is sending. The asus only supports channels 36-40-44 or something, and appearently the automatic settings for channel is not one of the supported ones...so I changed the changel in the router to 44 now its working fine! Thanks all anyway for trying to help! great community

Hi there,

Have you tried to remove the 5ghz wifi and add it again inserting the key again ?

This can happen that something changed in the secureID.

Also check the clock on your PC, it happens that Security is using the clock to encrypt/decrypt and if the clocks are a few minutes of then the secureID cannot allow the connection.

Let us know if this worked !
Cheers, Louise.

Hi Louise,

The 5ghz network isnt in known networks yet, because when I deleted the asus driver it removed all networks.
When I try to turn on a custom network connection with SSID name of the 5ghz network it doesnt work.
The clock is on the same second as my phone.
