well phone db apps are.... that's not how you'd measure noise levels due to the limitations of the phone's mic.
but running "sound meter" & testing it with my F51 Suppressor (non windowed though) using above test method: I get in idle 23dBA at the sidefan, 21dBA front, 34dBA backside (due to the stock fan rear), 24/25dBA top, on my table it's sitting at 21dBA
firing up BF1 for 10mins, sound increases to 26dbA sides, 36dBA back, 24/25dBA top, 22dBA front, on my table at 23dBA

the Enermax Ostrog is a decent case for little budget.
the R5 comes with quieter and better fans, better sound dampening, more solid covers but a premium price for that.
sometimes the basically identical (and in some way enhanced) Thermaltake F31 is available...

I run the Fractal R5, and I've had a great experience with it. Plenty of room for cooling/fans, windowed, and it is very quiet. Only time I hear it is when my GPU fans spin at >70% or so.

I would think the advantage of the R5 over that would be all the sound dampening material that the sides of the R5 have.

The best way to figure it out would be to find a review that states the db levels when the case is in use.

well I grabbed my phone and ran a db meter 2 inches from top fan while on the computer itself right now
result. moving it from top to all sides front and other sides and back staying 2 inch from it
I get min 23db, avg 47db and 66 db max
holding the phone at my chair level (about 12" from computer case) 38db
Considering a quiet library is rated at 35db I would say its pretty quiet

Tag your turn.. I use note 3 with app called " Sound meter"

Unfortunately I'm at work with no access to it. But if OP wants to wait, I will give this a shot when I got home. Also worth noting that I only have front and rear fans. But I will run the test at the windowed side of the case

fair enough I only run dual fans on top, dual Fan H75 Water cooler, dual fans from bottom, 1 fan from front and 1 fan on side all 120mm

also a very nice and quiet case is the BeQuiet Silent Base 600

This is another vote for the Fractal R5. I love mine, very classy looking and quiet as well.
