I built the system as seen below. When I plug something like an iPhone charger into the top of the wall receptacle shared by the computer, the monitor light turns orange and the screen goes blank. The fans on the computer are still running, as are the LED lights for the case and keyboard. A reset gets everything working correctly again.
Here's what I've tried.
1. Changed the receptacle.
2. Switched to a different receptacle on a different breaker.
3. Switched from a surge protector to a UPS (APC - Back-UPS 1080VA UPS - Black)
None of these things have worked. EVGA my power supply was baffled and the MSI motherboard people were clueless.
FYI: I can play Overwatch for 2+ hours with no issue. The stop happens when the computer has no programs running and when it does.
12/14/2016 9:57 PM. I replaced the PSU, first plug into the wall didn't cause the issue. Let's see if it lasts.
