Is it ok if I put a 15.6 inch laptop in a 17.3 inch laptop bag?

I am wondering if it will be ok if I put my acer aspire e5 575g 55kk 15.6 inch laptop in an alienware vindicator 17 briefcase because I can't find an alienware vindicator briefcase for 15.6 inch laptops :(
If you can find it in that size I would really appreciate it! What are your thoughts about putting a 15.6 inc laptop in 17.3 inch laptop bag?

Hey there.

I don't see why not. I used to have a backpack for 15.6" laptops which I've used for my 17" laptop and it was still fine. :)
The bag being bigger in this case is even better if you don't mind it.

That would be quite alright.

I wouldn't go to the expense of buying a smaller laptop carry-case if I already had a large one, in fact larger is better - - more room to pack other laptop-related stuff without the carry-case looking ridiculously over-stuffed and not properly fastened.
