Hey Everyone, in a few months I will build my first gaming pc using the Asus Sabertooth Z170 S Motherboard, and I will probably have a console or two (Xbox One, PS4) and plan to use the controllers for some games on the pc, but I want to keep a clean wireless look on my setup, and I figured I could use the bluetooth function on the controllers, but does the motherboard have built in bluetooth? Or do I have to buy something? (I know the motherboard has bluetooth capabilities)

Solution
Edited as I had the wrong link before:

No, it doesn't have it as BlueTooth is not mentioned on the specs here: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH-Z170-S/specifications/
Simplest would be a USB dongle that you can put in the back USB ports so shouldn't mess with the clean look.

Ok thanks, but that leads me to another question, what's the difference between the usb dongle and one of those antennas that you place in a slot in the back of the pc?

To add to that, if I was going to have the PC a significant distance from the device that I was using the BlueTooth for (keyboard, mouse, headphones, etc.) then I would want to go with a PCI card with the antennas as that *should* give you more range.

Hey sorry for not answering sooner. I prefer USB. You can always get a USB extender if it doesn't seem to be connecting properly, maybe if the computer is too far away. This one allows up to 7 concurrent connections:

I cannot find specific information on the PCI concurrent connections but I would imagine any modern card will allow more than 1 for sure. The PCI ones I have seen have a USB connection that has to be made on the motherboard for Bluetooth to work. Most motherboards have several USB connections so that shouldn't be an issue.
