My motherboard was showing no POST on boot and as I was getting it ready to be returned under warranty I bent the CPU socket pins and void the warranty. It was an ASUS h81 motherboard and as a replacement I've got a gigabyte z97 gaming 3.
I had no chance to prepare for this so I don't know if it will boot up fine when I plug it all back in or will I need a fresh install of windows? Will I lose all the data from my SSD and hard drive if I need a fresh windows install? Is there anything else I should be aware of in my situation?
