AMD Phenom(tm) X4 B55 Processor with only 2.50 GHz

Hi, my processor was supposed to be a overclocked to quad-core and 3.2 GHz, however the System says it is at 2.50 GHz
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

How are you monitoring frequency?
There is something called base clock, and then there is multiplier.

Pushing your CPU will cause the multiplier to kick in, 32 IIRC, at which point you will reach your clock of 3.2GHz. The PC doesn't just run at 3.2 all day.

That is my best guess as to why you are seeing 2.5 at idle.

I wish that was the case, but even the task manager says that the maximum speed is 2.50 GHz
