Just like the title says. I have troubleshot and searched for a hours and nothing so far. I have taken the soundcard out and unistalled all drivers for it. I have downloaded the newest drivers for my gpu and still nothing. Before installing the new sound card I made sure I was grounded and did not move so I would not cause any static electricity to generate.

I have the DP cables plugged in all the way, click and all. My DP monitor runs in DVI but will not work in DP.

Here's my hardware:
MB : Z97X-Gaming 7 (Gigabyte)
CPU : i7-4790K
GPU : GTX GeForce 760 Nvidia
Memory: Kingston HyperX DDR4 16Gb
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Z PCIe Gaming Sound Card
HDD: Generic 500Gb Dell Harddrives
Power Supply: Corsair 1000w

I just tried using my Displayport to HDMI adapter cable and the display works. I don't understand why I can't use my normal displayport cable though. I looked at all the pins in the cable it and it doesn't look like any of the pins are bent or damaged in anyway.

When I installed my new soundcard I unplugged everything from my computer, as one is supposed to do. Before installing the card everything was fine it is after installing it that everything has gone haywire.

Solution
I may have found a solution to this problem. I went into my registry and deleted all the the subkeys that I was allowed to delete under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

If you're having problems with your Displayport not being detected by your GPU or computer, make sure you do a system backup before deleting any registry entries.
