My apu is still taking ram even after disabling igpu

the problem is i have an a10 7700k but i disabled the igpu but its still taking 2gbs of ram even after i unallocated all the ram in the bios and threw an r9 380 in there window only shows 6gbs usable and its extremely irritating

That's about right, same here. It's a way to speed up system and fit more stuff in RAM so it doesn't swap as much to disk. It will not cause shortage of memory.

no its not showing hardware reserved but windows is only allowing 6gb of ram to be used 2 gbs are cached
