The GTX 1080 is really overkill if you're not planning on playing on 4K/1440p 144Hz (Basically, 1440p maximum settings). Even then, the GTX 1070 would do really similar to that. It goes as follows:

GTX 1060: 1080p Max Settings,
GTX 1070: 1440p Max Settings,
GTX 1080: 1440p Max Settings high Refresh Rate and 4K at high settings.

That is just a guesstimate, and those cards are normally recommended for that.

The Cryorig H7 is a much better option.

The PSU is a bit overkill unless your planning on SLI GTX 1070's.

You could also get away with something like the Cryorig H7 or Hyper 212 evo instead of an AIO water cooler, which needs replacing after a year or two when they start breaking down, if there's any damage to the tubing too, it will leak all over the 1070, motherboard and maybe PSU, and could damage those parts beyond repair.

Other than that, I don't see anything else wrong with this build.

As xFeaRDom said, you are a bit of overkill in the PSU part, also just insist that if you have not a very good reason (confined space, bad airflow, etc..), think twice about the AIO water coolers, they fail a looot sooner and give a lot more of problems that a good air cooler that give almost the same performance.

I slightly disagree with that, even an 1080 is unable to play at 144 over 1080.
If you play (or plan to play) at 4K, 3440x1440, 144Hz or VR just go for the 1080
At 2560x1080 or 75Hz you could drop to a 1070
For HD at 60Hz then 1060.

To be fair, nothing can play at true 144Hz, even if it was a 1080. But it is more off an estimation, I know it cannot reach those, but the 1070 is for 1440p at regular refresh rate, and the 1080 can be used for a higher refresh rate. Even if it was not at 144Hz, it is a smoother than at regular, such as 75Hz etc.

Thanks for the clarification though, I should've explained it a little more in depth, but you get where I'm coming from.
