After installing the update for my gpu AMD ReLive my PC froze had to shutdown (holding the power button for few seconds) after sometime when I tried to boot it got stuck on the windows boot loading screen, even after several tries it doesn't boot!
Fixes that I have tried :
i) bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Total Identified Windows Installation:0
DISKPART>list disk
>select disk 0 (931gb)
>list partition
>select partition 2 (C: )
>active (detail partition shows Active : Yes for C: )
>extend filesystem
>exit
Again, Total Identified Windows Installation:0
ii) chkdsk /f /r C:
Windows has made correction to the file system.
No further action is required.
iii) sfc /scanow
iv) Enabled F8 for safe mode by bcdedt /set {default} bootmenulegacy policy
Tried booting into the following modes (all unsuccessful as it gets stuck on loading screen)
*Safe Mode
*Safe Mode with Networking
*Safe Mode with Command Prompt
*Low Resolution Video Mode (640x480)
v) System Restore failed with the following errors:
*System restore failed to extract the file (C:\Windows\System32\BthHFSrvdll) from the
restore point.
vi) Startup Repair failed with the following errors:
*Startup Repair couldn't repair your pc :
Log file : E:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt
*Or it gets stuck at attempting repairs...
Will 'Refresh my PC' fix this problem keep all my files safe?
Also I came across a method to backup my files using ubuntu os and install new windows, is this possible and will I be able to backup all my important data?\
Please help, i'll be really thankful!
