Hi,

I almost have my PC ready, need to order a Gpu still ( i live in the Uk)

I can get the sapphire rx 460 nitro 4gb for 95 pounds or the asus strix gtx 950 for 100 pounds. I'm thinking they should be fine for esports games 1080p and maybe i'll upgrade to a higher res and better gpu in 2 years time. Which one should i pick? The gtx had a higher starting price however it's a year older than the 460. Will the 460 significantly improve because of dx12/vulkan? Will nvidia stop the support for 950 anytime soon?

Will cheaper freesync monitors swing the balance towards amd?

Thanks

I would say the RX series is newer and will more likely lose lesser value in 2 years since the 950 is over a year old. Keep in mind that the market will shift with newer tech coming out so no one can say for sure about what a 950 or Rx460 will be worth in 2 years.

RX is much cheaper and it only has one 6 pin pcie connector for power , with less than half the price of a founder's 1080 you can buy an RX 480 , and both will obsolete within a couple of years anyway so it's always better to buy the RX.
