Huge Temp difference / Need AMD CPU Buying Advice

I'm literally shocked when I see the HUGE temperature difference between Intel Core 2 Quad 9400 - Intel i7 4790k CPU during 720p 30fps video rendering. Same rendering settings: my years old 9400 stays at max 57-59c in entire rendering and my i7 4790k (stock fan) magically jumps to 78-85c in entire rendering and it starts very suddenly at 65c. Both CPUs have a CPU usage near % 80-99. I know 4790k have somekind issues with temperature, but what the hell dude its way too much difference, I'm not a tech expert, I even think for a second I shouldn't have purchase a 4790k lol. Why that much temp difference? something is really wrong with Haswell CPUs or what?
for the record I know stock fan in 4790k is causing the much heat, but it shoulnt be that much I think, If I wait finish rendering in 4790k temp goes up to 97c ish. Q9400 also have stock fan.

I'm also looking for a good AMD CPU to run most recent games, Intel CPUs a bit expensive. Is all haswell CPUs have same temps with stock fan? during rendering? I do not want get same annoying issue so I'm looking for AMD CPU instead with almost same temps above with my 9400.
(CPU coolers not available in my country due to limited stocks in stores)

What do you guys suggest? I heard FX 8350 is quite good

Solution
The point at which the 4790K will shut down due to overheating is around 100c.
Your temperatures are nominal for full load with a stock cooler.
Does your case have adequate fresh air intake?
Any cooler needs fresh air to do it's job.

The stock intel cooler gets noisy under load when the 92mm fan spins up.
For less noise and better cooling, spend $35 for a cooler with a 120mm fan.

If you want heat, the FX-9590 is a 225w unit that does not perform as well as a I7-4790K.
Not a good option today.
Rumors are that the upcoming amd Zen 8 core will be a good performer.you could wait for that if you want amd.
They might actually deliver what they...
on the heat issue it because of two changes in the newer cpu. one is intel fault the other is how small the new chip is causing a hot spot on the lids of the cpu. intel to save some cash went from solid silver lids to move heat from the cpu chip to the heat sink to thermal paste. the newer chips now have more thermal paste to stop heat spikes. for amd cpu dont go for the 9500 is just a wattage eater over the 8000 line. wait a few months for the new zen cpu from amd.

ddr4 ram speeds to match intel newer cpu and be on newest mb and chipset from amd and be cheaper.

Hey ImperialCavalry :)

If I were you I would wait till Q1 2017 for the new AMD Reyzen processor on the new AM4 platform.

Not too many MBs fully support the FX-9590 and it requires at least a H110 AIO water cooler not to mention a decent PSU of 850W min and gold certification. The FX series CPUs are end of life anyhow.

No FX processor today can run games nearly as well as intel.

Intel has stopped supplying coolers with the "K" suffix processors.
The "K" is meant to be overclocked and the stock fans were discarded in favor of better cooling solutions.

Thanks everyone, turns out my Intel Core 2 Quad 9400 have a fan that isnt stock fan (there's gray walls on the CPU and its big) so I guess this is how it gets a good temperature. I'm going to get a air blower so I can clean the all the dust inside the PC case (its my backup computer haven't used since a while)

and yes I decided to stick with Intel processors , even they are expensive , its the best I can buy.

thanks for all helpful replies, fact is I can't purchase anything from online since most websites does not support my payment method, also I got bad experiences with paypal as well. so I rely on physical stores in my location.

Good day
