Ive built 4 pcs before this. Not a lot but I have some experience.
So I got my gf a new computer case and moved everything from the old computer into the new case after I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber towel then letting it dry. Now it will start and fans turn on but it wont connect to a monitor.
These are my specs:
MOBO: Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 880G R
Video card: Gigabyte Geforce 460 1gb
Power supply: OCZ 550W RT
CPU: AMD PH II X4 995BE 3.2G AM3
Ram: 2x2 GSkill F3-12800CL7D - 4GBRM
Hard drive: HD 500g Samsung
Things I've tried:
- Everything in "PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about POST/boot/no video problems! "
- 3 different monitors, different wires
- Disconnecting everything not vital
- A single ram in every spot
- Unplugged and replugged everything.
- The only thing i didnt do is add thermal paste as I dont have any but i just wanted to make sure it was working before I tried to procure some.
- Resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for half and hour then putting it back in.
Am I missing something? At this point I'm wondering if I somehow damaged my motherboard during the move, is there a way to check?
