Hi everyone,I have a question to ask as in next couple of days I am planning to buy the asus radeon r9 280 directcu ii so just wanted to ask how good is it, And one more thing does it have the Artifacts problems like the 280x have? Because all the problems of Artifacts was with the X version after overclocking, as the card I'm planning to buy is used one so returning will be not an option for me. I'm planning to keep it for a few months so thats why I want it to be trouble free. Looking forward for your response. Thanx in advance. And sorry for the bad Grammer. Cheers.

I never had a problem with the 10+ 280x cards I ran back when.

Are you able to purchase the card off eBay (brand new) and have it shipped to you? Might be a better option because you are grabbing some hardware that has seen far better days for a not so good price.

What are you planning on paying for this used rx 280?

There are probably better options. Especially since the rx 380 was selling for ~$80 brand new a few days ago when I bought one for a friend.

You can buy a 1060 or a rx 480 for $150.

I was buying 280x cards on ebay for bitcoin mining like 3 years ago.

I would pass on that deal and keep your eye on slickdeals.net for a 1060 or rx 480 instead.

A friend of mine suggested the same. But where i live 1060 will cost me 350$ for the new. So i have 2 options either sapphire R9 270 dual x or asus r9 280 directcu ii. I really like the 280 because its of its great cooling, and my friend owns one so I like the performance. But afraid of getting the Artifacts problems. Really stuck here :(

One more thing I've searched alot and all of the problems were with the 280x.even when I Google it for r9 280, it takes me to the r9 280x Artifacts problems. Same thing happens when I search on YouTube. Does that means is the non x version is good to go?
