Definitely not (and I speak from personal experience).
They are cheaper than most of the competition for a good reason - - poor reliability & build-quality.
My recommendation is to buy WD or Hitachi brand.
I've got a mixture of both, all currently in their seventh year.

Same experience with Toshiba (but I only ever bought one) - - it failed after a year. Only bought one though, so it may just have been bad luck.
