Hi,

Yeah so guys im currently ordering parts for my gaming rig and i am going for a black/white motif. I've noticed that i can buy some white cables for it also, but my problem is i don't know about pins and all. By the way i am planning to buy the following:

Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

i am correct that i should get his one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAA6P4ZM3747

thank you.

Yea CableMod are OK however you will need more than just the Basic set.
Go here for a full kit selection: https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-axi-hxi-rm-cable-kit-white/

EVGA also sell the complete kits that can be ordered and color coded. Makes a decent system look extra nice and professional.

Thats a bummer i really liked the the style of the EVGA FTW. Thanks for the heads up and also for the advise for the PSU.
Okay so i changed it to these two items:

Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card
Corsair RMx 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

can you tell me if they are good and what type of pins for the white cables that im planning to get for them. Thanks

okay guys i just checked and i only need the extension cables (white) just to match the color scheme of my build. If you can please direct me on where to get and what, that would be much appreciated. Thanks

Ok go to CableMod, They have a cable configurator for custom cables and extensions to suit your exact requirement.

MM41 thank you for taking the time and helping me. Kudos! man thanks again.

The EVGA issue was resolved about 1.5 month s ago
That's why I said don't get old stock.
If ordering from your small neighbourhood shop you might get an unfixed card.

The RMx is an excellent choice
A 750W PSU can run 2 1070s though.
So if you can get the 550W or the 650W it will save a few bucks.
The 750W will run without a fan though like...All the time.

"The 750W will run without a fan though like...All the time." Im sorry i didn't get this one, is this a good thing? Sorry i am really a blank slate regarding computer parts.

I am building my rig on pcpartpicker and for some reason 750rmx is less expensive than the 550 or the 650 one so i opted for this one. I think i'll just stick with the Asus GPU since my motherboard is also Asus. Though the aesthetics of the EVGA FTW is really pleasing for me.

Thanks Isokolon, i will go with the 750rmx and changed my Corsair H100I v2 AIO to a Cryorig h7. Been reading the difference between Fan cooling and Air cooling. I liked the easy installation and maintenance of the Fan cooling so i opted to get that one. Btw here is my build is still missing a mouse and a monitors: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7MwQKZ

Do you already own all these case fans or will you be buying them?
I mean you'll hardly need all.of those
In case you're looking to buy some, don't get the Corsair SP/AF they're outclassed by pretty much any quality fan in terms of performance & noise
If.you got all of these already it's fine. Just wouldn't spend money in 2017 on them.

As for your screen, what's your budget?

I haven't bought the fans yet, any reason why these corsairs fans are no good? I really like the led on it that is the only reason why i picked it.

For the monitor i am thinking of going 1080P 144hz of Asus, with a secondary IPS monitor for youtube-ing and all. It'll be mostly use for gaming. I think my system is a little bit overkill since i only want to play LoL, but i have seen CS:GO and Overwatch and i want to dabble on these when i get home. So any advice, for the fans and monitor. Btw budget for the monitor is $350 max. (ASUS 24 inch VG248QE 144Hz Monitor)
