Hey guys!

Just noticed this field Raw Read Error Rate has been increasing like nuts in my external hdd. I'm using HD Sentinel.

Take a look:

What does this mean? Can I trust this drive or should I replace it?

The weirdest part is that it shows no SMART alerts at all. Says "OK".

Any thoughts?

I already backed it up. Thanks.

Here's a screenshot of the SMART data from HD Tune.

Notice it still shows the same gigantic number of read errors, just like hd sentinel. And again, "ok" in every SMART stat.

Is the HDD under warranty?

There are no bad sectors on the drive, which is good.
Yet, I believe it may be a good idea to contact the manufacturer's Support on the read errors. I believe the guys over there should be able to provide some more information and assistance on the issue.

Cheers,
