Hello guys,

Will one of these kits work with my setup?

http://

http://

Specs:

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
i7 6700k

According to the MB specs it supports up to 3400mhz, but the kits I linked are not listed under the MB QVL.

Get the 2x16 it puts less stress on the memory controller.

Both are compatible , but use the 2x16 for the reason above.

You will also need a small overclock on the CPU to get them to run at 3400mhz.

Here's the latest QVL, seems those gskill models are not supported: http://

Guess I'll have to go with: http://, since its the only 16gbx2 kit on the list with the highest mhz.

Wonder if this kit would also work since it has same specs as that Corsair Dominator and is cheaper (low profile would be much better since I have a Noctua D15 which has a huge heatsink): http://

Oh so I can just ignore the QVL and go with the MB specs then? that would be awesome.

The front fins of the NH-D15 generally protrude over the RAM slots. Due to the recessed lower fins, it is still possible to use RAM modules with up to 65mm height in single fan mode. In dual fan mode, the front fan will sit above the RAM slots as well. In this case, Noctua recommends using standard height RAM (up to 32mm). However, in chassis with more than 165mm CPU cooler clearance, the front fan can be moved upwards to make room for memory modules taller than 32mm (e.g. moving the fan 5mm up will increase the total height from 165 to 170mm and make room for 37mm tall modules).

From Noctua site.

Ok, thanks for the advice.

I will just look for a 16gbx2 3400mhz low profile kit then!

Could anyone please suggest a memory kit that would work with a Asus Z170 Pro Gaming + i7 6700k, with the following specs:

- Low Profile
- runs at 3400 mhz
- has 2x 16gb modules

I found several 2x 16gb 3400 mhz kits, but none of them were low profile.

I'm asking this because I don't want to have issues fitting my Noctua D15 in my case (Thermaltake Suppressor F31), as pointed out by
SR-71 Blackbird.

Thanks!
