Cable extensions on RM750i Type-4 cables possible?

Hey guys, I have a Corsair RM750i PSU and I was wondering if using cable extensions is a bad idea or not?

This PSU uses type-4 cables which have capacitors on the 24-pin, EPS and PCI-E cables. Would using extensions make the capacitors useless?

I've never used extensions but I'm assuming the cables that came with the PSU plug into the PSU, then out to the extensions, and the extensions plug into the motherboard/video card, is that correct?

Thanks for any replies / help, it's greatly appreciated.

EDIT, just FYI I'm looking into getting these extensions:

The closer to the load the caps are, the more effective they are. That said, the PSU's ripple performance already outperforms most on the market with no capacitors at all. So I wouldn't worry about it. The ripple is still < 20mV without caps.

The only thing I'd worry about with extensions is:

1. The additional length of cable will cause resistance, thus causing voltages to drop slightly and reduce efficiency.
2. Make certain the interfaces are all very secure. Any loose pins can cause resistance that will make the connection heat up and the plastic can melt.

Here's a question: Why are you using extensions? Is your case really that large?

It's not that large, the only real extension I need is for the 8-pin EPS since as of right now it's just going straight across my motherboard over the top.

The case I'll likely be getting is either Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX or S340 ELITE, so I'm not sure how cabling in those cases is going to be.

I'm thinking about picking up custom cables for the 24-pin, 6+8-pin for PCI-E and 8-pin EPS + an extension. Does this sound about right?

Really appreciate your response though, I'm not understanding how to get ideal cable management very well yet.
