I recently purchased a used msi x58 pro MS-7522 motherboard that came with a first gen i7 and cooler because it was dirt cheap, a little over $100 altogether. I already had 3 matching sticks of ram so that made it real nice because of the x58 chipset's ability to use triple channel ram. Doing a little research I found that the msi x58 motherboards don't support many xeons processors unlike some other x58 motherboards from different companies(only has official support for w3520). Is there a bios update that will allow me to use something like an x5650 with this motherboard? Or will more xeon chips work even though they're not officially supported? Any feedback appreciated
