Hi,

I'm asking here because I'm not sure what the cause might be.

I have the build in this link, using with the default settings, no overclocking.
The build always had a 1-2 seconds delay between the moment I pressed the power button and when it actually started up (fans spinning up, water pump starting, etc.).

But lately, when I push the power button, nothing happens (like, no sound, no fans, no leds, nothing). It doesn't do this every time, but maybe half of the times.

What I noticed is that when this happens, the PWR led on the motherboard is on; the LED of the ethernet port which is connected to my router is also on.

And, I also noticed that the computer starts up eventually... without pressing the power button anymore. Last time this happened, I went to look for the motherboard's manual and when I came back, it was powered on, waiting for login. (edit: measured this interval, it took 6 minutes for the computer to power on)

Other than this start-up issue, the computer works ok, I've no stability issues. Voltages look stable in BIOS, I've run hours long stress tests with no problems, I've also did the paper clip test and measured the PSU with a multimeter, all looked ok.

Any idea what this could be? Is it possible that the OS is putting the computer in a sort of weird sleep state instead of completely powering down, and it's stuck there the next time I press the button ?

I would dial back your CPU and RAM speed a bit to see if that helps. This almost sounds like your system is reverting to default settings in BIOS after a failed OC attempt. It tries to start up, fails, powers itself off, tries again, loads up 2nd BIOS with defaults, and powers up.
I have had something similar happen with my system, and hibernation. Try disabling Hibernation all together as well. But ONLY do one thing at a time so you know which one fixed it.

If the computer doesn't boot straight to the OS and shows a boot screen first, then it is not the OS. (I don't think the OS would do that anyway)

I don't know. I would blame it on the motherboard.
