I already have a D-link DSL-225 modem router. If I want to upgrade to 11ac standard, will it work well if I just buy an ac router and use the d-link as just a modem or is it better to buy a newer combined modem router. btw, the D-link's LAN capability is 10/100Mbps.
I know that i will also have to buy a ac adapter as well as my laptop doesn't have one built in.
